The iPhone X vs a professional video camera, what record with more quality?

The camera system of the iPhone has long been the favorite of professional camcorders looking to capture videos with mobile platforms, and the iPhone X is no exception.

This year, Apple has brought a telephoto lens with faster aperture , f2.4 on its flagship phone, with dual optical image stabilization. Not only is it new on the iPhone X, but also on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus , it is recording 4K video at 60 fps and slow video at 1080p at 240 fps.

In a new video, the photography blog Fstoppers tests the improved video capabilities of the iPhone X, comparing the phone with a professional camera, the Panasonic GH5 .

The GH5 is a 20 megapixel micro camera that sells for just under 2000 euros without aim. Next to the iPhone X, Fstoppers were impressed with the results .

The iPhone not only performed admirably in natural and slow light tests, but it seemed almost equal to or superior to GH5 in terms of color intensity and contrast in numerous environments.

However, the GH5 stood out in terms of video stabilization and low light capabilities . The iPhone was also surpassed when it came to zooming in on a subject, using digital zoom after exceeding the limits of the telephoto lens.

Apple's successful "Shot on iPhone" campaign has consistently highlighted the continued improvements in the iPhone's camera system , and this year's update seems to be a big step forward once again. The complete comparison shown below is worth a look, full of excellent side-by-side comparison shots. Which camera do you prefer?
