The iPhone X will help you to know which glasses fit you

The new Apple iPhone X has a facial recognition system that has been implemented in the 3D sensors of the front camera thanks to TrueDepth technology. But the data collected by this system offers much more than the Face ID function ...

The popular eyewear company Warby Parket has used the facial mapping technology of the iPhone X to analyze the structure of their clients' faces and make recommendations about the glasses that best fit them.

Although it may seem otherwise, it is a very simple process. The iPhone iOS application of the company Warby Parker will make a scan of the face of the users to use that data and provide glasses recommendations.

How the Warby Parker app works

The application, called "Glasses by Warby Parker", is 100% compatible with iPhone X. However, it is only available on the App Store in the United States . If you have an Apple ID from that country, you can download it here .

Previously, the application used a digital system to make glasses recommendations. Now, with facial recognition technology , Apple has opened a whole world of possibilities to the applications of its App Store.

At the moment, the application does not provide a preview of how the glasses would look , it will only offer you a recommendation. But there is no doubt that this benefit would be very helpful, and it is possible that they will soon add it too.

Let us know what you think about this curious application of the iOS App Store. Would you trust his recommendations?
