NEW iOS 10.3.3 / iOS 10.x JAILBREAK EXPLOIT RELEASED

NEW iOS 10.3.3 / iOS 10.x JAILBREAK EXPLOIT RELEASED

In today's video, we're discussing a new exploit compatible with iOS 10.3.3 (amongst other versions), write-up published by iOS hacker @s1guza. The exploit dubbed v0rtex is based on the IOSurface vulnerability about which #Pangu member windknown has discussed on the Pangu official blog. The bug is apparently reported by Ian Beer and has been patched in iOS 11.2. Siguza did a very good job with his writeup for this exploit, it is very easy to understand and makes a lot of sense if you have a bit of iOS Security background. According to Siguza, the exploit now has tfp0 (task for pid 0), and it might as well work on 32-Bit with some adjustments. He also said he would provide help to a dev should one decide to port it to 32-Bit. Now, this is not #iOS 10.3.3 only, but probably it is very important for iOS 10.3.3 users because they lacked a powerful exploit unlike iOS 10.3.2 and iOS 10.3.1 users. Siguza himself stated one should NOT update to iOS 11. iOS 10.3.3 is a better iOS version to stay on if you're interested in iOS Jailbreak. This is the first powerful exploit for iOS 10.3.3, so iOS 10.3.3 users should no longer feel left out. It is now safe to wait on iOS 10.3.3. If you already updated to iOS 11, it is still not the end of the world, just make sure you are not running iOS 11.2. If you do, make sure that you downgrade back to iOS 11.1.2 or lower. Downgrading to iOS 10.3.3 is no longer possible now.
