No, the Samsung Galaxy S9 will not be a rival for the iPhone X either

The new year is already falling, and the truth is that it looks pretty good for the industry. With the launch of the iPhone X, all manufacturers have decided to create a better and cheaper alternative to Apple's phone in order to try to take some of the sales. But not all follow that same approach, and the best example of this is that of Samsung. And is that his Galaxy S9 does not seem to be a great rival for the Cupertino.

Although we still do not know it officially, if we follow the rumors, the new Samsung phone will be present at the end of February, at the Mobile World Congress . However, it seems that it is not going to be a big change as much as they expected, and they will opt instead for a continuist design, although with some improvements with respect to its predecessor. The issue is, it seems that even their improvements will help compete in performance against the new iPhone, at least on paper.

There is not yet a single phone that can compete against the iPhone X, nor will there be in a few months

Thanks to Geekbench, we have been able to access the supposed results of a benchmark made on a Galaxy S9. Specifically, it would be the American version of the device, which would continue betting on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 935 to the detriment of Samsung Exynos, which would be included again in the other versions. Anyway, this should not make a big difference, at least, comparing them between them, because it's not worth doing against the iPhone X.

And, to even approach the results of Apple's latest processor, the A11 Bionic, Samsung would have to achieve a score higher than 4000 points in the single-core test and more than 10,000 points in the multi-core. Something that, as you can see in the images, is still quite beyond the reach of this company, and any other manufacturer of the competition. At least, for now, we will have to see what happens throughout the year.

And you, do you think that the division between the Galaxy S9 and the iPhone X will be so big?
