iOS 11.3 will have a function that can save your life

When it comes to protecting your own life, few are the measures we can take, after all, it is the most precious possession we have. For that reason, Apple has wanted to put another bit in its small kingdom of health of the future with the new version of iOS 11.3, which has begun to be available today as a beta for developers registered in the test program of the company.

In this case, it is something we do not want to have to use, but which, however, could help, if at any time we need it, we have emergency services in our location as quickly as possible. This new function allows us to send our exact location in case we activate the SOS mode of the terminal to the operator that assists us through the mobile network thanks to the AML or Advanced Mobile Location.

This service will be available on all compatible iPhones once the update officially arrives, and will allow emergency services to comply with their work more efficiently in European countries that have enabled this service. In Spain, on the other hand, we will not have the possibility of using it , and we will have to resort to an external application such as AlertCops to supply the same functions, although not as effectively because it is not integrated into the system.

Of course, this is an important change for European users, but the fact is that Apple has been delaying it for too long. In fact, Android phones already have this feature since the Gingerbread version, launched in 2010 , which Californians have taken too calmly. But, as they say, better late than never.

And to you, what do you think about this new function?
