The iPhone X, a phone in danger of extinction

Despite having a bright start to sales in November last year, the iPhone X seems not to go as planned by Apple . So much so that it seems that we want to reduce production by half during the first quarter of this year 2018.

In fact during these first three months I had planned to put 40 million units into production, and the forecasts are now for 20 million , just 50 percent less. The cause of this decision is sales in the United States, Europe and China, which have not been as buoyant as expected.

And the fact is that the high cost of the OLED screens mounted on the iPhone X and the exclusive that the South Korean manufacturer Samsung has on these panels , make the final price of the parato is high.

As we have been telling you, Apple is preparing for the launch this year of a trio of phones , two of them with an OLED screen, and a 6.1-inch one with a reduced price and that would mount a Full Screen LCD screen of Japan Display .

The production of models such as iPhone 7, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus will be 30 million units for these three months , which means that they continue to work very well and this type of screens is very well accepted by users.

The iPhone X, which was put on sale on November 3, 2017, was exhausted in just a few minutes and although in China and Japan has had a lot of acceptance despite its high price, in other Western markets has not had much success. So much so that in Spain occupies a discreet sales position despite the expectations that were generated.
