The new Nintendo Labo, a fatastica experience to give life to cardboard toys

Nintendo revealed the new Nintendo Labo, a new line of "build yourself" experiences that will be compatible with the Nintendo Switch. The Labo kits will include modular cardboard sheets "specially designed to interact with the Nintendo Switch" that can be assembled into creations that Nintendo Labo calls Toy-Con.

Nintendo Labo starts the game with modular cartons to build creations, they can connect with the Switch and interact with specific software.

The fantasy comes to life when placing the Switch and the Nintendo tablet in the cardboard creations. With Nintendo Labo, you can make a 13-key piano and once you insert the Nintendo Switch and the tablet while you play, the IR motion camera in the Right Joy-Con detects which keys are pressed and plays each note through the internal horns

Labo Laboratories from Nintendo Labo allow switch owners to build their own cardboard peripherals, robots, cars, pianos and much more.

The two different games that go on sale in April this year, are the Variety Kit of $ 70 and the Robot Kit of $ 80, both include a Switch Cartridge, cardboard pieces and any other piece that is required, such as laces and stickers reflective Instructions on how to create accessories, which Nintendo has called Toy-Cons.

The Variety Kit includes five Toy-Con projects: two RC cars, a fishing rod, a house, a motorcycle and a piano. The slightly more expensive kit comes with the huge robot suit seen in the video (above). Nintendo says it will allow users to "build an interactive robot suit with a visor, backpack and straps for hands and feet, which you can wear to take over a giant game robot."

Toy-Con RC Car : Insert the left and right Joy-Con into your newly built RC Car and control its movement using the touch screen controls of the Nintendo Switch. The HD Rumble function in Joy-Con controllers will cause vibrations that will move the car in the direction you choose. Materials to build two RC cars are included.

Fishing rod Toy-Con: Build the fishing rod with an active and rotating reel that is attached with a rope to a cradle that holds the Nintendo Switch console. Catch one of the many exotic fish that appear swimming on the screen of the Nintendo Switch by launching your fishing rod and unwinding the reel to lower the hook. Once you feel a vibration of the Joy-Con inserted in the reel, you must pull the fishing rod up and move the reel quickly to try to complete the capture!

Toy-Con House: By inserting several assembled blocks in the openings on the sides and bottom of the house, you can interact, play and feed a cute creature on the front screen of the Nintendo Switch. Each block with different shapes is detected by the motion camera IR Motion Camera in the right Joy-Con inserted in the upper part of the House.

Toy-Con Motorcycle : Inserts each Joy-Con into a set of assembled handlebars to drive a motorcycle on the Nintendo Switch screen. Pressing the power button turns the engine on, while turning the right handle activates the accelerator. Tilting the body or turning the handlebar to the left and right controls the motorcycle.

Toy-Con Piano: After assembling a beautifully crafted 13-key piano and inserting the Nintendo Switch and Joy-Con, you can experiment with your own musical creations by pressing different keys. You can even insert different knobs assembled to create new sound effects and tones!
