5 iPhone settings you've seen (but you do not know what they are for)

Most people know the main functions of their iPhone . Some, like Live Photos or Animojis, are used by millions of users every day. However, there are options that remain a bit in the shadows for most mortals.

Today we bring you the five settings of your iPhone that, although you have seen many times, you still do not know what they are for. Keep reading to get the full potential of your iPhone!

TV provider

Yes, this option is in the Settings menu and we are sure that you have seen it. It's as mysterious as her name, and that's why nobody touches her too much. When you log in to this option, you can access all the available content that your TV provider includes in the subscription.

To log in, do the following :

  •     Go to Settings .
  •     Enter TV Provider
  •     Find your provider among the many options available.
  •     Log in with your credentials.

Ready. Once you have logged in, you should be able to see all the additional content that your TV provider offers, both in the applications dedicated to it as well as in the iOS TV app.
Help Wi-Fi

Although almost anywhere we can find a Wi-Fi connection, there are few who have a good one. In the end, we end up connected to a network that does not work while we spend our entire data plan because of this iOS option.

With Wi-Fi Help, your device uses part of your mobile data to improve Wi-Fi connections that are running at low performance, to offer you a better experience. However, iOS has this option enabled by default, which results in excessive data consumption if we do not realize it in time.

To disable Help Wi-Fi do the following:

    Go to Settings .
Go to the Cellular Data section.
Here, look for the Wi-Fi Help option and turn it off.

Now you should have this function disabled . iOS also offers us a count of how much data we have used with this feature.
Guided access on your iPhone

With this useful iOS function you can deactivate certain areas of the screen of your device. If someone needs to send a message from your iPhone, for example, you can activate Guided Access to make sure you do not leave the messaging screen. It also serves for many other things of the style.

If you want to activate Guided Access on your iPhone, just follow these steps:

    Open Settings
    Go to General .
    Now, enter Accessibility .
    Guided Access
Activate it and configure it as you wish.
If you want to deactivate Guided Access, just touch the

Home button three times until the security screen appears. Here you just have to enter the code that you selected for this option.

Dialing Assistance

This is a mysterious function even for Apple , since in its web they do not offer many details of what it can be used for. However, we have discovered what it does, and although it is simple, it is quite useful.

This function is to automatically enter the local and international prefixes of the telephone numbers you are calling. If you want to activate it, do the following:

    Open Settings
Search the Phone section and touch it.
    Activate the Dial Assist switch.

Improve your Apple experience with Handoff

Finally, we have a very interesting feature that will be really useful for those who use Apple's ecosystem on a daily basis.

Thanks to Handoff we can navigate through the ecosystem created by Cupertino for your iPhone, Mac, Apple Watch, iPod, Apple TV and any other device that you can think of. With a touch of the screen, we can continue on the Mac what we were doing on our iPad.

If you want to activate Handoff, follow these steps :

    Open Settings
    Enter General .
    Tap on Handoff .
Activate the switch of the Handoff option.

Done, this option will be activated. For what functions you have to have another Apple device connected to the same Wi-Fi network and also it must be linked to your Apple ID . It is available for iPhone 5 and iPad 4 or higher. Also on Mac with OS X Yosemite 10.10 and up.

When Android users say that iOS is an overly rigid system with few options, they may not know in full what they are talking about. If you want to improve your experience with iOS, try these functions , we are sure that some will be useful to you.

Have you already tried any of these features? Leave us your answer in the comments!
