Apple earns more money selling less iPhone

Apple has already published its fiscal results for the last three months of 2017, and although the Cupertino seems to have done pretty well, they have not managed to exceed the number of iPhone devices sold.

While some analysts claimed that Apple was going to break records in the last quarter of 2017, it seems that it has not been like that. In fact, despite having launched three devices in 2017, Apple has sold less than in 2016 . Keep reading that here we tell you everything!

Less sales than expected

Despite this fall in sales, the Cupertino have managed to earn more money than in previous years, which is surprising when comparing the number of terminals sold between one year and another. In this last fiscal quarter they had an income of 88,293 million dollars , an amount higher than the 78,351 million dollars obtained in 2016.

On the other hand the number of devices sold would be the following: 7.3 million iPhone devices, 13.2 million iPads and 5.1 million Mac computers. Despite being impressive numbers, it is nothing that Apple has not achieved before.

iPhone X, disappointed but not surprised

The iPhone X, on the other hand, has turned out not to be as successful as expected. Despite the publicity given by Apple, the device achieved sales that left a little to be desired. On the other hand, it was Apple's best-selling device since its launch in November. Tim Cook expressed himself with the following words about this phenomenon:

"We are very excited to announce what has been the fourth most important quarter in Apple's history, with growth that includes the highest revenue seen for new iPhone models. The iPhone X has exceeded our expectations, and has been the best-selling iPhone every week since its November launch. "

In addition to all this, Apple has also seen an increase as never before in its services as Apple Music, with more than one million dollars of revenue, as in products such as Apple Watch or AirPods.

More does not mean better , and so Apple has shown. Despite not selling the number of devices they would have thought at first, they got much more than with the figures of terminals sent in previous years.

Do you think Apple had enough success in 2017?
