iPhone: the best selling smartphone surpassing Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei

Apple published its fiscal results for the last four months of 2017 showing that it is capable of making more money selling less iPhone . And is that the sales of smartphones and tablets continue to plummet for years.

On the other hand, Tim Cook was satisfied with the sales of the iPhone X, although the demand is still very low . The company of the bitten apple excused itself mentioning the delay of its launching and being based on the fact that this semester had a week less than last year.

Be that as it may, and despite all the drawbacks, the iPhone is still the best-selling smartphone . That's right, ahead of Samsung's devices, Huawei's, Xiaomi's, OPPO's, etc ...

Global sales of smartphones

In the following table you will be able to discover all the analytical data of the sales of smartphones of the last quarter of 2017 . The data includes the sales (in millions of units) of the main smartphone manufacturing companies.

In the lower part of the table, the market share relative to each one of the companies is shown (Apple, Samsung, Huawei, OPPO, Xiaomi ...).

Apple has outperformed all other companies, but its iPhone sales have dropped from 78.3 million units to 77.3 million units.

For its part, Samsung has managed to sell 74.4 million units of smartphones throughout the last period of 2017. The market share of Samsung totals 18.6% ... again surpassed by Apple and its 19 ,3 %.

Apple does not usually share more data on the sales of their mobile devices. But Tim Cook has mentioned that the iPhone X has been the best selling mobile device every week since its official launch in December.
