This business of counterfeiting smartphones and tablets leads these illegal workers to plagiarize operating systems, designs, brands and even packaging. Finally, Jianhua Li pleaded guilty, and awaits his sentence for May 30.

"Mr. Li, working in his company Dream Digitals, conspired with Andreina Becerra, Roberto Volpe, Rosario LaMarca and others to traffic in the United States with more than 40,000 electronic devices and accessories from China."

Apparently, Jianhua Li had everything planned to avoid being captured by US customs officials . The shipments were made separately, for later assembly.

This is how the falsification of iPhone and iPad has become a big business for many illegal companies. A couple of years ago, in 2015, the Chinese authorities closed some facilities in which up to 41,000 fake iPhones with an estimated value of 19 million dollars were cloned . It is unknown if there is a connection between the two stories.
