There will be two new providers for the iPad with Face ID

Apple has partnered with two supplier companies in China in 2018 to ensure a good supply of components for the 3D sensor modules for use both in the iPhone line and in its iPad line.

3D sensors, for anyone who is not familiar with the subject, are hardware components that Apple uses to implement Face ID technology in the TrueDepth camera of their iPhone X. So the new generation of iPad will have facial recognition? So is. At least, it is what the rumors suggest.

We have been seeing for a while how different design concepts of an iPad in the purest style of the iPhone X circulate on the web. That is, a tablet with very small side bevels, with Face ID and no physical start button . Perhaps, precisely for this reason, Apple requires two new suppliers.

The new iPad of 2018 will have Face ID

Recently, iPad rumors revealed that Apple was planning to invest more than $ 820 million in LG Innotek for the supply of 3D sensor modules, crucial components in the iPhone X's camera system.

The incorporation of the two Chinese companies to provide this type of hardware components will allow Apple to increase the production of mobile devices , tablets and smartphones in 2018.

There is speculation that Apple may present a renewed iPhone X, an iPhone X Plus and a second generation iPhone SE. All of them would have wireless charging, Face ID and a design with Infinity screen .

We will see what finally happens with the line of new iPads of 2018 . Do you think they will have a radically renewed design? Would you use Face ID on an iPad?
