Third beta of iOS 11.3 already available. What's new?

For a few hours, all users can download the latest compilation of the new version of iOS 11.3, which is currently in development, and which is already in its third beta. In this update, users will be able to access a series of really important functions, and that we detail below in this article. Among them, the appearance of a section dedicated to the health of the battery is highlighted, as a result of the measures that Apple is taking to solve the batterygate.
The novelties of this new beta

The new version of iOS is ready to bring users a better experience in terms of privacy, explaining in more detail the way in which apps and Apple make use of our data or not. It also includes, as we commented previously, a new interface that will show us the status of the battery of the device, and will give us the possibility to activate or deactivate the performance control in those cases in which it is necessary to activate it.

In this particular compilation, the functions of AirPlay 2, which were to be introduced with iOS 11.3, have been eliminated, at least temporarily. It is not known if they will be reintroduced in a new compilation, or if on the contrary they will wait for future versions. On the other hand, it has added support for the latest generation of the iPod Touch , which so far was not compatible with the beta versions of iOS 11.3

The fact that AirPlay 2 has been eliminated from this version would imply that users will not yet be able to enjoy multi-room playback, something that is especially interesting for users of several HomePod or Apple TV, since it allows them to reproduce, simultaneously, the same track or the same content in the rooms that we want. It may be related to the new software strategy of Apple, which takes a more comprehensive control of the quality of each new feature.
How to install iOS 11.3 beta 3 on your device

To install this new compilation, you will first have to download the profile that will identify your device as part of one of the two test programs, both development and public. In the case of developers, they must download this profile from the specific Apple portal with a registered account as such. If, on the other hand, you do not have access to this developer portal, you can access the public program of beta software from Apple.

If you access from the public betas program, you will have to first accept a series of conditions and, from your own iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, you can download the profile corresponding to the most recent iOS updates . Now, after activating the profile, you will have to go to Settings, General, Software Update, where you can download the latest compilation available as if it were a regular update.

Which models are compatible with this new update?

Regarding the list of compatible models, there has been a change with respect to the two previous betas. In this case, users of a sixth generation iPod Touch can also install this new beta, in this way, the list is completed again after having left behind the popular Apple player. In any case, if you are not sure what model you have, you will simply have to find out if your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch has iOS 11 installed from Settings, General, Information.
