Apple buys 270 million panels for the 2018 iPhone

It seems that it has been a short time since we had the iPhone X in stores, although the truth is that it is already half way through the year. And with an iPhone that has had somewhat irregular sales results , remember the successes in Asia and the warmth in the United States or Spain, Apple is already very advanced what will be presented in 2018 .

We have the knowledge of what Cupertino has for its followers ahead of this year. It would be 3 different models with OLED and LCD screens , the 6.1 inches. The sizes would be 5.8 inches, the aforementioned 6.1 and one greater than 6.5 inches. It seems certain that in Taiwan, a supplier of electronic materials, between 250 and 270 million panels have been ordered for Apple .

About half of these orders would correspond to OLED screens, which would be for the current iPhone X , although it will be discontinued soon, and the larger one being prepared. The 6.1-inch LCD model could be a surprise , however , as it has a panel that exceeds or even exceeds the acclaimed OLED. The DigiTimes media echoes as follows:

"Apple's purchases of OLED panels in 2018 will reach 110-130 million units, including 70-80 million units of 5.8 inches for the current iPhone X and an improved version of the same size. The rest will be 40-50 million 6.5-inch OLED panels for the production of a less expensive model. "

All eyes are now on the following events that will occur in Apple , in the first place an event on Tuesday 27 March for education, which could give brushstrokes or directly present the new iPad, AirPods or a renewed Apple Pencil.

On June 4 will be the World Developers Conference , where perhaps it will be clear about iOS 12 and leave the first public beta.
