Apple Pay will reach 6 Spanish banks, is yours among the chosen ones?

It has taken years, many years, but little by little the services of Apple Pay have been settling in Spain. Soon, you will have the possibility of making mobile payments on your iPhone in all establishments that use this system.

Currently, Apple Pay is compatible with a wide variety of services in Spain: American Express, MasterCard, Visa, Boon, Bunq, CaixaBank, Carrefour, Imagin Bank, N26, Openbank, Orange, Santander, Sodexo and Edenred. But soon six new Spanish banks will be added to the list.

Apple Pay will be available very soon at the following financial institutions: Bankia, Bankinter, Bankintercard, Caja Rural, Evo Finance and Sabadell.

The banks in Spain, finally, reach the 21st century

If you are a client of any of the financial entities mentioned previously, you can finally use your iPhone to pay directly in all those establishments that have this mobile payment system.

Some of the stores, establishments and stores that already offer Apple Pay services are: Apple, Bershka, BP, BriCor, C & A, Carrefour, Cepsa, Cortefiel, El Corte Ingles, Fifty Factory, Ginos, Hipercor, Lidl, Massimo Dutti, Media Markt, Optica 2000, Oysho, Pedro del Hierro, Pull & Bear, Sephora, Starbucks, Sfera, Springfield, Stradivarius, Supercor, Repsol, Fridays, The Wok, Uterqüe, Vips, Women's Secret, Zara and Zara Home.

However, it is only necessary for most banks in Spain to update their iOS and Android mobile applications to offer users a much more rewarding experience, with a better user interface design and greater usability. Because, until now, none of them has been able to measure up. And is that, in these times, mobile platforms are essential for the future of any financial institution . Today, Spain takes a step towards a future that has been in the present for years.

Have you already used Apple Pay in an establishment? Have these banks taken a long time to join the list of financial institutions? We wait for you in the comments.
