Facebook shows why iPhone is more secure than Android

A few days ago, we discovered something that many of us already feared for a long time. Several third-party companies, notably Cambridge Analytica , have had access to the data of millions of Facebook users. In addition, it has been possible to know that the way in which they have done it, it was enough to think about the security with which Facebook protected its users at that moment, and that we could have improved ourselves .

The company of Mark Zuckerberg has managed to upset the world with this scandal, among other things, because the data was used to manipulate public opinion , and may have come to influence the voters of several of the most recent electoral events. But this was only the beginning. As a result of the collective hysteria that caused this first scandal, lots of users decided to take a copy of the data stored in the network to close the account.

At that precise moment, some of the users could realize that Facebook had been dedicated to keeping a record of calls and messages sent from the phone. All this, allowed by the old system of permissions of Android, which authorized the apps to access the records with just ask for access to contacts. Needless to say, another great commotion has arisen again, which only worsens the company's reputation.

At the moment, this crisis of reputation has already cost the company tens of millions in stock market capitalization, and they are still in free fall. Luckily, this is something that has not affected or affects Apple users, thanks to the controls that the company has always had on what may or may not do the apps in the system. It's one of those things that we have to thank the closed iOS system, after we complained so much about it.

And you, have you checked your copy of Facebook data?
