How to make your iPhone ignore weak Wi-Fi signals

There is nothing more exasperating than connecting to a Wi-Fi that gives you a weak, irregular signal, which is going to jerk or make your pages load at a speed of the late 90's . How many times it has happened to us! Do you know that your iPhone can help you in these cases?

The Wi-Fi Assisi function is implemented from iOS 9 and is a way by which your device, and whenever you have this option activated, will use mobile data to make your connection go much better . It is an option that has activated by default in which, when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network that does not finish pulling everything well, the assistant will use mobile data so you do not stay halfway.

How to activate Wi-Fi support on the iPhone?

Although we have told you that it is activated in a natural way, you may have it disabled for any reason. To check it follow the following route:

  •     Go to Settings
  •     Go down until you find Mobile data
  •     Once there, and if you go back down you will find the option of Wi-Fi Assistant. In case it is unchecked, press the slider and you will have it active.

You will have noticed, if you already had it active, that a mobile data counter appears. What does this mean? Well, it is simply the volume of data that the Wi-Fi assistant has used when your device has requested it. Perhaps it is curious to point out what levas consumed and to check after a while how much the figure has grown.

It can be very useful in case your contracted rate is not very large and you want to monitor the consumption that the assistant makes of it . Symptom also that you need to check the Wi-Fi networks to which you connect.
