Neither Mac, nor iPhone X or iPad Pro: this is Apple's invention of the year

Every time we talk about Apple cables, it's not usually to flatter them. Although we would like to say the opposite, the truth is that the quality of these accessories, especially that of the officers, is not only disappointing , but also the dangerous . We do not know if their cables are made of some type of alloy that sacrifices all the resistance to offer the power that the process of loading an Apple device will need, but they could already make a normal one.

Leaving the jokes aside, Apple is perfectly aware that this is one of its biggest problems, and probably a topic that consumers do not stop reminding them. For this reason, they are working to offer us a better experience, both when it comes to eliminating them completely , as is the case with wireless charging; as when to continue using them. For the latter, a new patent has been registered that could give us a clue as to what is coming.

In the patent they have shared from Patently Apple, we can see a new type of Lightning cable termination. This form would have been chosen in order to be able to seal the connector when charging the device, and protect the connectors from possible liquid inlets. In this way, our phone, tablet, or any of the accessories that use the Lightning connector, would be protected against this important threat.

And, it must be remembered that, although our iPhones are IP67 certified, the truth is that they can not do anything if we have some water in the connector and plugged into the power. For that reason, details like this can avoid enough breakdowns caused accidentally , something to be grateful for, considering that the warranty does not cover it.

What have been your worst experiences with the Apple cable?
