Samsung Galaxy S9 vs iPhone X: Which supports better the falls?

With the arrival in the stores on Friday March 16 of the new batch of Samsung, with its Galaxy S9 and S9 +, the tests of resistance have not been made wait . And is that following the trend of many models, also adopted by Apple with its 8 series and the iPhone X , make devices with glass backs and infinite screens is a magnet.

A magnet? Yes, for those in charge of making repairs. Without incredibly beautiful phones, with an aesthetic that borders on perfection, although wearing it without a case can even be considered a high-risk sport. Falls are highly damaging to them .

The well-known YouTube channel EverythingApplePro has come to carry out some tests of resistance between the iPhone X and the Samsung Galaxy S9 , with falls to a concrete floor from the height of the waist, and from the head in different positions, singing and flat. The results you can imagine.

The falls from a low height, the waist is tolerated fairly well for both terminals, although Apple appears three green stripes on the screen that indicate that something is not working well . However, its steel chassis resists strikingly the impact, which does not happen with the Korean.

When both hit the ground from the height of the head, approximately 1.70 meters high, the rear panels break when they fall off edge, something inevitable as well. The front panels fracture in both cases when they are subjected to a flat launch. Conclusions? The iPhone X supports better the falls , although there is no terminal that fits the blows in a solid way. It is already known that the combination of glass and steel is usually fatal for this first.

We leave you with the video of the test and we invite you to place a sleeve if you do not already have it . It is better to sacrifice something design to have to go through boxes to repair panels.
