The iPhone X camera is not the best, despite Consumer Reports

Consumer Reports has recently conducted a series of tests with different smartphones to check which device has the best camera on the market . The winner has turned out to be Apple's iPhone X , but the data is not entirely true.

Today's smartphones are very complicated when it comes to differentiating themselves from the rest, the market is saturated with terminals in the face of high consumer demand and all phones tend to use the same design with a dual camera, a glass back cover , an Infinity screen ...

But, despite their similarities, the camera of smartphones is totally different in each model. Thanks to the complexity of the hardware of its elements such as lenses, sensors, image processing chips ... there is a big difference between the cameras of each smartphone.

According to Consumer Reports, the cameras of Apple's 2017 iPhone dominate the market ... Nothing is further from the truth. And there are some points that we would like to comment on after you take a look at your top 10.

List of smartphones with the best camera on the market

This is the ranking of the best smartphone cameras on the market according to the Consumer Reports analysis:

1. Apple iPhone X

2. Apple iPhone 8

3. Apple iPhone 8 Plus

4. Samsung Galaxy S8 +

5. Apple iPhone 7

6. Apple iPhone 6s Plus

7. Samsung Galaxy S8

8. Samsung Galaxy Note8

9. Apple iPhone 7 Plus

10. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active

As you can see, in the first three positions we see (in order) the iPhone X, the iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus. First, the 8 Plus model should be above the iPhone 8 , since it has a much more advanced camera module.

On the other hand, where is the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 + ? Undoubtedly, the camera of these terminals will appear in the top positions of this classification . After all, it's reasonable because the new Samsung terminals are not for sale but ... And the Google Pixel 2? And what about the Huawei Mate 10 Pro?

What kind of ranking is this? Where is Google Pixel 2? What about Huawei Mate 10 Pro?

Then we leave you with the DxOMark analysis of the cameras of today's smartphones, a much more reliable and technical ranking:

To finish, yes, the iPhone X has a very powerful and advanced camera. It may be one of the best cameras on the market ... but this analysis by Consumer Reports is nothing serious.
