Apple Watch data allows to solve a murder case

The utilities of Apple products, like those of any technological product, are virtually endless. Any person, with the right approach, can achieve a new use for anything. And the Apple Watch , is not an exception. Not only because of the large number of applications available to you thanks to the immense developer community that supports this smartwatch, but because of its own capabilities as a device.

In this case, the Apple Watch has helped to deliver justice, thanks to the data it captures, autonomously and locally, continuously. In September 2016, a woman named Myrna Nilsson was found dead in her home, and her stepdaughter indicated that she had been killed by assailants who had broken into the house. However, this statement seems to have been completely dismantled thanks to Apple's product, which was on the victim's wrist that fateful day.

Thanks to the watch, a forensic team was able to determine, within a seven-minute time window, the moment the victim was attacked, and the moment he died. Thanks to this information, it was concluded that the stepdaughter's version was completely impossible, since it indicated that twenty minutes had elapsed from the start of the conflct, until the victim died. For this reason, the stepdaughter, who was already a suspect, was accused of murder.

Of course, it is not one of those characteristics by which we compare an intelligent watch, but it does help us to imagine how useful it can be for the lives of millions of people . Even in those moments that we could never imagine would happen. Of course, leaving aside this rare occasion in which the watch has had a curious utility, the Apple Watch is a device that you will not want to take off as soon as you have it.

And you, would you have imagined that something like this could have happened?
