Goodbye to the 3D Touch on the low-cost iPhone of 2018

Every day that passes will know more details about the configuration of the devices that Apple will present during this year 2018. It is already assumed that in September will stop making the current iPhone X , for its irregular sales results and its price quite elevated.

And many of these looks are put in the model of 6.1 inches that will take LCD screen , contrary to what their brothers of 5.8 and 6.5 inches will do, which will mount an OLED panel . The last thing we know has been ventured by the KGI Securities analyst, the ineffable Ming-Chi Kuo.

And according to him, the 6.1-inch model will not have 3D Touch , the functionality that allows pressing on the screen to access a variety of functions. It will be replaced by a new technology that bears the name CGS, or glass cover sensor .

This new technology would be more advanced, and would make the device panel even more resistant to shock . Although not all will be advantages, riding the CGS has an extra cost for Apple, which would go from 23 to 26 dollars per panel .

The other two models that are also scheduled to be presented in September will mount an OLED screen, as is already known, but they will have the 3D Touch , which gives such a good result. Although to prosper the technology that Apple will implement in the intermediate model, the CGS, it may be that the releases of later years cause Apple to consider eliminating the 3D Touch .

The company of Cupertino has put enough expectations in this model which has been known as "low cost" . The most optimistic forecasts say that could be between 65 and 75 percent of Apple's sales for this year.
