iOS 11 robs Android Oreo: 76% installation versus 5%

Apple's iOS 11 operating system is installed on 76% of the company's devices since April 22 . This is confirmed by the data shared by Apple on its App Store development page.

Therefore, the percentage has risen 11 points since January 18, when we discovered that iOS 11 was installed in more than 60% mobile of the company of the bitten apple.

Before this, on November 6, iOS 11 reached a 52% adoption in Apple's mobile devices. The truth is that iOS 11 has not proven to host many installations with respect to other versions of the mobile operating system. But it is a success with respect to the adoption of Android Oreo .

Android Oreo vs. iOS 11

Currently, 19% of Apple's mobile devices continue to use iOS 10 , while the remaining 5% continues to run older versions of iOS such as iOS 7, iOS 8, iOS 9 ... Unfortunately, many devices are obsolete and can not update to iOS 11 (or even iOS 10).

The adoption of iOS 11 was growing on a regular basis over the past few months. But it has been a much slower adoption than the adoption of iOS 10 . In February 2017, iOS 10 was already installed on 80% of the devices. The difference is not abysmal, but it is remarkable.

The truth is that iOS 11 has been plagued with all kinds of problems, vulnerabilities and bugs . Especially the controversy the slowdown of the operating system that Apple caused on purpose. Perhaps this has been one of the main reasons for the slow adoption of iOS 11.

On the other hand, as we already anticipated, Android Oreo is only installed on 4.6% of the devices . It's the problem with the fragmentation of Android ... Most users are still using Android Lollipop, Android Marshmallow and Android Nougat; some versions of the operating system that were presented in 2014, 2015 and 2016, respectively.
