BlackBerry Keyone, analysis, features and price

The Blackberry KEYone has achieved a unique combination of features such as its great build quality, excellent materials, Android Nougat 7.1.1 and a physical keyboard with touch tactile functions.

Blackberry: one of the first and most important manufacturers
When talking about Blackberry I can not help remembering that not long ago smartphones had a physical keyboard, something that today would be considered crazy and unusual and what I personally found it hard to let go of during the transition to the virtual keyboard that everyone we know

Now, something that still resists not to run the same fate as physical keyboards, is the manufacturer Blackberry that has been (and still is) on the edge of the abyss on multiple occasions but continues to make multiple attempts to resurface.

The Blackberry KEYone, the new bet of the manufacturer
One of his most recent attempts to stay afloat is the Blackberry KEYone , a smartphone with an operating system ... Android ! but where the manufacturer still insists on keeping a physical keyboard in a body that presents a fantastic quality of construction with parts mostly in metal and rubber for the back.

Key features of the Blackberry KEYone
The screen is 4.5-inch LCD, bounded clearly by the keyboard that presents as a novelty features similar to a touchpad that allows scrolling the content of the screen as if it were part of a touch screen and a fingerprint reader embedded in the space key to unlock the phone.

Another key feature of the Blackberry KEYone is the function key placed below the volume keys on the right side, which, as in the past, can be configured by the user assigning the function that creates more convenient.

The rear camera has 12 megapixels and image stabilizer capable of capturing 4K videos at 30 fps and the front is 8 megapixels.

The KEYone has a Snapdragon 625 processor with eight cores at 2GHz, Adreno 506 GPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage space - expandable through microSD memory - and its battery is quite generous 3505 mAh.

Despite the high quality of the materials and their assembly, these technical specifications place the KEYone in the spectrum of mid-range smartphones since today it is not uncommon to find smartphones with much more than 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage they are practically only found in equipment of the aforementioned range.

The version of Android that incorporates the KEYone is the 7.1.1 Nougat and fortunately almost totally lacks graphic customization by Blackberry although, on the other hand, it has many business applications that replace some native Android as the email client or the contact management application.

Blackberry: synonym of secure data

Blackberry has always made a strong emphasis on data security and for this reason all the information stored in the KEYone is encrypted by default and even the manufacturer has incorporated an application that performs an audit of the smartphone to indicate possible failures that may endanger the privacy of your data.

Conclusions and our opinion about the Blackberry KEYone
The Blackberry KEYone is a solid smartphone in every way, from its construction to its improvements in terms of information security. Although its screen is not very large, its quality is good and its performance in general is acceptable, as many of the mid-range devices with which it competes.

Its rear camera makes good captures even in low light but it is not at all impressive and it is true that its battery has a very good level of performance although this is linked to the fact that its processor is not the fastest and its screen is probably the smallest included in smartphones today.
