Fear in Spotify and Apple Music: Google launches YouTube Music

Yesterday we saw Spotify tremble due to the incredible growth of Apple Music , now we will see tremble in fear of both platforms streaming music services before the arrival of a new competitor.

Google is planning to launch a new version of its music service , and at the same time they are preparing to publish more digital content such as their Karate Kid spinoff, Cobra Kai.

YouTube presents YouTube Music , an improved version of its current music service that arrives to compete with Apple Music and Spotify . In addition, YouTube Red disappears to make way for YouTube Premium.

YouTube has found its ideal monetization formula

We have seen how YouTube managed to monetize its platform with the introduction of its ads and adjusting the level of payments to youtubers as much as possible. Finally, Google could have found the final formula.

We are talking about two new subscription plans for its users: YouTube Premium ($ 11.99) and YouTube Music Premium ($ 9.99).

The YouTube Music service will launch next week, it will continue to work in the same way it has done so far, but it comes with additional features such as custom playlists based on your YouTube history.

In this way, Google increases the price of "YouTube Red" including the reproduction of videos without ads, music and downloads for $ 2 more . So, if you want to watch videos without ads, listen to music and see original content like "Cobra Kai" you will have to pay 12 dollars a month.

It seems that YouTube Red did not generate enough money for them, that is ... YouTube is not Netflix , but perhaps this strategy will provide good results, as well as large sums of money. What do you think about the initiative?
