How to remove the SIM card from your iPhone

The iPhone, being a device without removable battery, has the peculiarity of having a tray, or card holder, where to put the SIM. Now it is very common in many brands, but the iPhone has always been a phone with a fixed battery . For that reason, since the appearance of the original iPhone in 2007, we have a SIM-holder tray.

Until the iPhone 3GS of 2009, the tray was housed in the upper part of the device, and since the iPhone 4 (2010), it is on one side . And at the moment it does not seem that things are going to change, unless a technology capable of communicating without cards is invented. Today we are going to see how to correctly extract the tray from the SIM .

How to remove the SIM card from your iPhone

  •     You must locate the extractor skewer, which is included in the folder where the documentation of your iPhone is included . I usually do not use it and extract the card with a clip to join folios, taking care that it is thin.
  •     Never use a needle or pin , it can be split with pressure. Once you locate the skewer, insert it through the hole in the card holder and press firmly.
  •     Remove the tray from the card and gently pull it. Remove the SIM card taking care not to press or stain the part of the chip . If you have extracted it to change it for another, you will see that there is only one possible position in which it can fit.

If the insert does not fit correctly, do not try to force it . You can damage the card holder and what is worse, the phone itself. Make sure you are putting it in the proper position and that the SIM is not displaced from its support.

On the other hand, if you lose the spike and do not dare to remove the SIM with a clip, you can always buy spikes on Amazon.
