What Tim Cook thinks about "changing the world" and Apple's social policy

Tim Cook , Apple's CEO, has offered a new interview with Fortune and has talked about very interesting topics with executive editor Adam Lashinsky.

The good Tim has talked about how Apple sees social problems , how they want to focus on the privacy of their users and how they want to change the world.

Social problems
Tim Cook explained that he only expresses his opinion when it is a problem in which Apple can create solutions . Think that the company should only talk about certain topics when they have certain knowledge about them.

"WE ALWAYS TRY TO CHANGE THE WORLD. IT BECAME CLEAR TO ME A FEW YEARS AGO THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE TO STAY QUIET FOR THE THINGS THAT REALLY MATTER. "

On immigration, Tim Cook said in the interview that any company needs immigrants in its ranks.

"WE HAVE MANY IMMIGRANTS WHO WORK AT APPLE. AT SOME POINT, WE HAVE ALL BEEN IMMIGRANTS. THIS GIVES US A PERSPECTIVE ON THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING DIFFERENT POINTS OF VIEW WHEN YOU HAVE A GLOBAL COMPANY. "

Privacy
For Apple, the privacy of its users is extremely important. And so Tim Cook wanted to reflect during his interview with Fortune:

"WE ALREADY WORRIED ABOUT PRIVACY BEFORE ANYONE CARED. WE DID NOT GET UP ONE MORNING WITH THE MEDIA FOCUSED ON PRIVACY AND WE SAID 'OH, LET'S DO THIS'. "

Technology addiction
Finally, with the launch of iOS 12 , Apple introduced an application known as Screen Time that helps users reduce addiction to the mobile phone. Tim Cook explained that from Apple they think that some users spend too much time with their devices.

"WHAT WE HAVE TRIED TO DO IS THINK ABOUT HOW TO HELP THEM. WE HAVE NEVER WANTED PEOPLE TO USE OUR PRODUCTS TOO MUCH. "

It was a very interesting interview in which Tim Cook wanted to bring out the most supportive face of Apple , a company that has always been characterized by wanting to change the world we live in better.
