Apple will include new features in the haptic responses of iOS 13

Apple has already removed some important functions and elements from its devices, both at the software level and at the design level. First we saw how the company made the functionality "Slide to unlock" disappear, a little later we attended the retirement of the 3.5mm headphone jack and finally Apple removed the iconic start button of their iPhone. And now ... we could say goodbye to the 3D Touch .

All the rumors suggest that the 3D Touch functionality will disappear in 2019 when Apple presents its line of new generation smartphones. As has happened in the case of the iPhone XR, the 3D Touch function will be replaced by the haptic responses , a very similar system that provides a sensation of vibration when pressed on the screen.

But the new Haptic Touch system has some disadvantage with respect to the 3D Touch function. It can only be used with functions that are not based on keeping the finger pressed on the screen . That is, when you keep your finger pressed on an application and activate a mode to remove apps.

Luckily, Apple is planning to improve this system of haptic responses in future devices that will run iOS 13 and / or future versions of iOS . We do not know if the plan is to lower costs in the production of mobile devices, or simply improve the experience of using the current 3D Touch function.

From The Verge, they assured the following:

"APPLE HAS TOLD ME THAT THEY ARE WORKING TO BRING IT [HAPTIC TOUCH] TO MORE PLACES ON IOS OVER TIME, BUT THAT WILL GO SLOWLY SO THAT THEY CAN ENSURE THAT THE IMPLEMENTATION IS CORRECT."

We will see how things are happening, hopefully this new system of haptic responses from Apple will be as efficient and useful as 3D Touch in the not too distant future.
