Control your iPhone X, XS or XR with your eyes thanks to this app

The arrival of the TrueDepth camera system to the iPhone brought us the 3D facial recognition that makes Face ID possible , yes, and also the notch. This system is more powerful than we think and still Apple has not shown its full potential.

We showed you a few months ago the capabilities of ARKit 2, iOS 12 and the TrueDepth camera of the iPhone X with a demo in which you could control the device with your eyes , now this demo has become a free app.

Control your iPhone without touching it, just by looking at it
The same developer that we already saw the demo has launched an application called Hawkeye Access. The iPhone with TrueDepth, that is, the iPhone X, XS and XR, with iOS 12 installed, will be able to control your device without touching it , just looking at the screen thanks to this app.

Being an application, control with the look only works within it , but incorporates many utilities such as social networks and browsers. From within the app we can access:

A web browser
Facebook
Instagram
Youtube
Twitter
Google
Wikipedia
Amazon
Google news
Yahoo Sports
El Canal del clima
Manzana

When opening the application, the first thing we have to do is calibrate . For that, it will show us several points on the screen that we will have to look at. Once the calibration is finished, we will go to a small tutorial that shows us how to move and how to go back.

It is a first version and the control is not perfect . There are times when you are looking at a point and it does not recognize you well and you end up shaking your head. But to prove it is very interesting and sure that in future versions improves recognition.

 Hawkeye Access
Hawkeye Access
Utilities
 Instalar Gratis
This application makes us wonder what Apple would be able to do if it implemented an option based on accessibility . It would be a perfect way for people who can not touch the iPhone to control it.
