Can you use the charger of a MacBook with the iPad Pro?

The issue of Apple's chargers and devices is always very controversial . Especially on the iPhone since Apple offers fast charging but does not include the charger in the box , to use it you must spend even more.

But leaving aside this controversy, Apple has introduced an important novelty in the new iPad Pro: the USB-C connection . This is the same one used by MacBooks , so the question seems logical, can they be used with the new iPad Pro?

Is it safe to use the MacBook's charger on the iPad Pro?
First of all, we will analyze the chargers offered by Apple to see if they are compatible. In the Apple Store Online we can buy these chargers compatible with USB-C:

30 W USB-C power adapter (included in MacBook and MacBook Air)
61 W USB-C power adapter (included in MacBook Pro 13 ")
87 W USB-C power adapter (included in MacBook Pro 15 ")
The new iPad Pro includes in the box a USB-C power adapter of 18 W , somewhat lower than Apple sold in your store, but higher than those that were included in the iPad, which was 12 W.

But will my iPad Pro get damaged if I use a MacBook charger to charge it? The answer is no . The own Apple confirms it in its web , you can even use them to load your iPhone or iPad with Lightning if you have the compatible cable:

"IF YOU USE AN APPLE USB-C POWER ADAPTER OF 29, 30, 61 OR 87 W AND A LIGHTNING CABLE TO APPLE USB-C YOU CAN QUICKLY LOAD SOME DEVICES"

This page at the moment has not been updated , but the following devices appear: Phone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPad Pro 12.9 inches (2nd generation), Pad Pro (12.9 inches), iPad Pro (10.5 inches).

Seeing this, the current iPad Pro can also be used with the charger of a MacBook , like the new iPhone XS, XS Max and XR.
