The iPad is the best-selling tablet with a market share of 26%

Just as the iPhone continues to struggle in a market filled and collapsed by a wide range of smartphones ... the Apple iPad is unrivaled . Once again, the King of tablets has been proclaimed.

Last night, Apple announced its fiscal results for Q4 of 2018 indicating that the company had sold a total of 46 million iPhone units in the last quarter.

Shortly after, Apple scandalized the media saying they would not present their sales figures for iPhone, iPad and Mac, as they did so far with their Apple Watch units. So now we will have to trust in the IDC analyzes.

From IDC, by the way, today they claimed that the sale of smartphones has fallen by 6% compared to the same quarter last year. However ... for the iPad things do not go so badly.

The iPad is still the King of tablets

Apple has sold a total of 9.7 million units of iPad during the last quarter of 2018, a figure reached by the commercialization of all its different tablet models. Therefore, the company of the bitten apple has managed to obtain a market share of 26.6% , well above its rivals.

For its part, Samsung has sold a total of 5.3 million tablets reaching a market share of 14.6%. But the surprise of this quarter comes from the hand of Amazon, which has sold 4.4 million units with a market share of 12%. Very good numbers for Amazon, without a doubt.

The figures correspond to the quarter that includes the months between July and September.

To conclude, it is worth mentioning that IDC believe that Apple's tablet sales figures will continue to grow thanks to the launch of the new iPad Pro with a new design and Face ID.
