Photoshop for iPad is being delayed longer than expected and could arrive without some features

One of the great ads of the year at the application level was the one that Adobe made almost a year ago with the promise of a version of Photoshop for iPad at the height of the desktop version . The company promised that it would be launched throughout 2019, but it seems that the application is not quite ready yet.

According to a Bloomberg report that has just been published, the famous photo editor should be available for iPadOS very soon, however, it could arrive without several important features and functions . It seems that Adobe has encountered some problems and all the tools will not be available until future updates.

The first beta testers complain

In his report Bloomberg says he has been able to talk to several users who have tested the beta versions of Photoshop for iPad, a beta that began to be publicly tested in May of this year . These users have transmitted their disappointment with the application and the lack of tools that are available in the desktop version.

According to the opinions of these users, some filters, functions related to pencils, custom brush libraries, vector drawing, color spaces, RAW editing, smart objects, layer styles and creation options are missing in the Photoshop app for iPad of masks

This has caused beta testers and professional users to be quite disappointed with the new Photoshop application for iPad. Adobe promised that it would be like “the real Photoshop”, since this version would have almost all the features in the desktop version . However, this is not the case, at least in the versions they have tried, and they put Photoshop for iPad at the height of photo editing applications such as Procreate and Affinity.

Adobe has officially pronounced and Scott Belsky has confirmed to Bloomberg that the application will be launched without some important features , but will be reached later with updates. They claim to be working very hard with Apple to offer a powerful application for iPad users, but everything indicates that it will take them longer than they initially believed.
